Get this ugly, ridiculous piece of security theatre off our streets. That chain wouldn’t stop a bicycle thief, let alone a terrorist attack. It’s all the more ludicrous because the other end of King’s Parade is defended by plain old bollards, which is what we should have here.

Labour has stitched up another Local Government Reorganisation, this time in Cambridgeshire. The Government has leaked the announcement of the outcome in Cambridgeshire to Labour MPs and councillors, well ahead of the official announcement next week, in yet another disgraceful example of gerrymandering. Option D, put forward by the Labour Eastern Regional Office via two Cambridgeshire Labour MPs, easily the least financially viable option, has apparently been selected. This will have a hugely negative impact on Huntingdonshire; on employment, on education, on opportunities. On his way out of the job Steve Reed has chosen administrative vandalism to be his legacy, not to mention making Labour unelectable here. A complete joke from the death throes of this rotten administration.
