The Eagles two Super Bowl wins are against Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. Nobody ever say shit to us again.

You’re not going to believe this but the Phillies are going to need another outfielder or two.

Even if they took a step back to try something different it would have energized me a bit. It’s the same nonsense.

Phillies had a chance to at least move Bohm, let JT walk, use the Bichette money elsewhere but chose to keep things the same.

@PhillyPMC There is nothing as devastated than when you’re 12 years old and Reggie White leaves

Top 5 worst moments as an Eagles fan if you are 20 years old, you mean. Only one of these (SB57 loss) cracks my top 10. Barber pick 6. McNabb throwing up in the huddle of the SB. TO doing sit ups in the driveway. Reid making Juan Castillo his defensive coordinator. The entire Rich Kotite era. I could go on.

Top 5 worst moments as an Eagles fan: 1) Sirianni extension 2) DeMarcus Robinson incident 3) SB57 loss 4) Week 10 2022 5) Shady -> Kiko

Everything people were worried about with this same boring team has come to light this weekend. Sanchez is the only reason to watch.

Sixers getting to 5 would give them a glimmer of hope at winning a series. They won’t beat Boston, they would have zero home games vs the Knicks. Gotta get to 5.

This part but without flattening odds
Jake Fischer@JakeLFischer

@TheSteinLine And lastly, the union and other league figures are pushing to employ additional penalties to punish blatant tanking. Such as reducing a team's lottery odds, moving their pick to the end of the lottery or the first round, or stripping them of their first-round selection.

@BillSimmons Yes, shortening the season will certainly help bad teams get better! Does anyone actually think before they speak?

@RichHomieFlom Correct. Even remove the lottery altogether. Also, tie in revenue sharing, ticket prices and discounts

Simple tanking fix: 1. Unflatten the lottery odds: the worst teams are very likely to get top picks and mid-lotto teams are unlikely to move up. 2. Eliminate pick protections outside of top-4. 3. Can’t draft top five more than two years in a row or three in five years.

@JonesOnTheNBA So, when bad teams stay bad, then what? These options are from a league that has zero awareness. Abolish the lottery, let bad teams get better. This is an easy step 1 to fix it

@KeithSmithNBA Option 1 is what directly led to the Spurs and Mavs jumping. It’s a terrible idea that will lead to more tanking. Bad teams will stay bad.

I don't mind Option 1. I don't love including teams in the playoffs, but I don't hate it. This is probably my favorite of the three options. Option 2 is interesting, but will get confusing for folks to keep track of. There's a lot going on there. I don't hate it though. Option 3 feels like we're just moving the goalposts a bit. If a draft has prospects good enough, won't teams just tank to be bottom 5? Not a fan of that one. Feels like change for change's sake.
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania

The NBA presented three comprehensive anti-tanking concepts to its Board of Governors on Wednesday, with modifications expected to each before a formal vote in May, per ESPN sources. 1. 18 teams in draft lottery (seeds 7-15 in each conference) – flattened odds, with bottom 10 teams having an 8% chance, the remaining 20% odds distributed in decreasing order for 11 through 18, and and a lottery drawing for all 18 picks. 2) 22 teams in lottery using 2-year record (seeds 7-15, plus the four playoff first round exits in both conferences). Lottery teams would reach a minimum win total floor in each season, such as 25 wins. If a team falls short of the floor, it gets slotted to meet the floor. Top 4 drawn as part of lottery, as is currently. 3) 18 teams in a "5 by 5" lottery – bottom 5 teams have equal odds for the top pick, with lottery formed for picks 1-5. Bottom 5 teams have a floor at 10; those that fall out of top 5 get sorted in a separate drawing.
