Jesus would care much more about the love, community, compassion, and charity shown at Christmas and Easter, than the origins of the paraphernalia.

@venus_weeping It is not, for the obvious reason that interpersonal intimacy objectively makes two people one flesh (1 Cor 6:16), whereas gooning—while unnatural, disordered, and evil—does not functionally “marry” two people together.

These people always say, “Virginity matters, but…” and if you ask them to back up and explain why exactly virginity matters, they deflect and obfuscate because if they answered honestly, it would undercut everything they say after “but…”

Virginity should not be the #1 factor Christians look for when considering who to marry. Godliness and being attracted to them is. Virginity matters, and it's a blessing from God. It's not wrong to desire someone who is a virgin. And past sexual sin regularly carries present-day consequences. But I fear we've placed virginity on such a high pedestal that it's become an idol for many. The Bible doesn't say that someone "is free to be married to anyone [they want] — only if they're a virgin." It says that someone "is free to be married to anyone [they want] — only in the Lord (aka, only if they're a Christian)" (1 Cor. 7:39). In other words, what matters above all else is that your spouse is a believer, virgin or not. Again, while desiring to marry a virgin isn't a bad thing, it becomes a bad thing if it causes you to miss out on marrying the person who truly matters: the man or woman who's born-again, passionate about Jesus, excellent in the God-given characteristics of a godly wife or husband, and physically attractive to you. And a mature Christian should desire those things in a potential spouse above all else, regardless of the past sins the person may have gone through (though they should certainly weigh out that aspect as well in this decision, since it does matter).

As someone who does pre-marriage counseling, I would be more inclined to tell a young man it is OK to marry a redeemed woman with a sexual past than to tell a young lady it's OK to marry a man with an anonymous X account who calls sisters in Christ whores.

Actually they are in the relevant sense. The radical forgiveness God offered then is fortunately not available. Those who make serious mistakes, like murder pedophilia and promiscuity are tainted.

The reason these men are all acting like they are being forced into relationships with whores is because they are all stuck in 1 way relationships with whores. They are addicted to porn and they can't get out. They hate the women on their screens and they've come to view all women the same way.

I’m perfectly happy to admit that the wife repented, was saved and is now my sister in Christ—but that this doesn’t absolve her of the social consequences of her actions. Demanding that she be put on the same level as those who didn’t sin is demeaning and nihilistic

Individually, Job, Noah, Daniel and the ruler were all blameless. It’s safe to assume others were too.
