@lmacvittie Unfortunately, one acquisition does not an industry make cool. Or... Something like that. Let's gauge coolness by how active #opensource communities are around a technology. Right now, open source #networking is consolidating/contracting; @linuxfoundation is absorbing ONF.

Seems to me that the Blue Bird App owner is now making policies up on the fly to compensate for all the parody accounts... I'm betting he sells before having realized any gains.

@mliebow @cloudpundit @QuinnyPig Competitors were not agile enough to pivot to the new business model. This happened with smartphones (iPhone vs. Blackberry) and digital cameras (Kodak vs. every other camera manufacturer). His success is partly due to circumstance and partly to the team he hired.

And if you think Musk isn’t the determinant factor in SpaceX and Tesla, you’re delusional. One only needs to look at the competitors to realize all are not even close.

@mliebow @cloudpundit @QuinnyPig SpaceX and Tesla are business models. The technologies existed prior to their inception. Much like Steve Jobs, all he did was put them together and then point a team at the problem. He didn't do it by himself. C'mon now.
