@JimCBW @BoyGreen25 @BoyGreen25 is a fan, a cheerleader (literal J-E-T-S chants at the draft as proof). With that said, he has never and will never be critical of any move they make until its been proven to have failed. Any move they make, is genius and the move that will put them over top. Sad.

After Klubnik went at No. 110 overall in the 4th round the next QB didn’t go until the No. 178 overall pick in the 5th round!

@BoyGreen25 @NYJetsHMA Puhhlease. Take a win if you want, but the Bills traded out of their pick 3 times in the 1st rd including a trade with a much more viable division rival, the Patriots. The only WR they were interested in within reach was KC. If they wanted Cooper they could’ve had em at 26 or 28.

Least Favorite: Jude Bowry- I believe he could’ve been taken later or another developmental swing tackle could’ve been taken later. 2nd pick of 4th rd is a spot where I would expect someone be able to contribute.

- A rotational EDGE rusher
- A depth CB (who they traded up for)
- A backup OT/G
All while still needing a:
- NT
- LB
- WR

@AlexMiley17 @GregTompsett Swell. Totally worth taking an early 2nd rounder and hoping a guy can excel from playing in a 2 point stance at times in college to exclusively playing at it in the NFL level.

Just because they ran 4-3 didn’t mean he didn’t have some plays from 9-tech
Groot was in 4-3 last year but still had over 100 snaps from the 9-tech, and had great results there.
Many projected Parker as an OLB edge

@AlexMiley17 @GregTompsett Clemson runs an even front (4 down linemen) base front. TJ Parker was a DE in that scheme and Beane said he projects as an OLB in Bills base 3-4 defense.

He was listed as an OLB coming out
The CB pick is for sure a head scratcher can’t really defend it.
Still think the draft can be saved and I will trust the process overall

@Pierre_Kingpin My point isnt that we have holes everywhere, it’s that Beane continually drafts the same archetype for DE/OLB with the same draft assets with little success. Also using a 2nd RD pick on depth CB a year after spending a 1st on CB is poor asset management w/other needs IMO.

@realDannyAF That’s a fair point but again it’s not like we have holes up and down this team. Argument could be made that depth has been what has killed this team down the stretch!

I love the reactions every year during #NFLDraft. The amount of definitive statements on purely unknown prospects is comical at times.
We cry about not drafting BPA, then we do and it’s crying about not drafting needs. Then we cry about not having depth, then when we draft for depth it’s “but but why so early?”
It’s a LOSE LOSE this time of the year.

@AlexMiley17 @GregTompsett To be clear, I’m not overly upset about spending draft assets on defense early in this years draft because they have a number of holes and a new 3-4 scheme. I’m not pleased with drafting a 4-3 DE to play OLB and depth CB in 2nd rd or Beane’s overall drafting philosophy.

BUF has the 3rd highest paid WR room in the NFL. When you have an elite QB, you pay that QB + the OL to protect him. You then add skill players w/ low cost vets/cost-controlled, high ceiling talent with premium draft assets

When you have a an elite QB that can do that it doesn’t make much sense to invest a lot there.
Also they built an elite oline and run game without having to invest too much

@AlexMiley17 @GregTompsett The Bills offense is elite because of Allen not because of what Allen has at his disposal. I have illustrated above how investing in the defense has not resulted in a better defense and that’s just the draft. It doesn’t include all the misses Beane has had in free agency.

Would rather improve the side of the ball Josh Allen can’t elevate and that would be the defense

#Browns GM Andrew Berry drafted more WRs for Shedeur Sanders Thursday night and Friday night (2) than #Bills GM Brandon Beane has drafted for Josh Allen in 9 years (Rounds 1-3).
Cleveland drafted K.C. Concepcion 24th and Denzel Boston 39th. Keon Coleman is the only WR who Beane has drafted before Round 4, as he was the 33rd overall pick in 2024.

@AlexMiley17 @GregTompsett Rams/Eagles have SB wins and don’t use draft assets on offense, particularly skill positions because they sign and/or trade for them (AJ Brown, Devante Adams) and if you zoom in, although they are grouped together at the “bottom”, they are still a bit higher than Buffalo.

Look at the other teams at the bottom. They’re with the chiefs rams and eagles. If you asked someone to rank the best offenses since 2020 all 4 of those teams are likely in most people’s top 5

@revonthemic How many times do they have to lose because they can’t stop the run/rush the passer, then invest all their premium draft assets into doing so only for it to continue to be a problem?? Not to mention the FA $$ spent for the same reason!

The #Bills haven’t lost in the playoffs because they couldn’t stop the run. They’ve lost because of a nonexistent pass rush, and poor defensive depth when starters were out.
Parker and IGB solve that problem.

@GregTompsett I agree and totally would’ve been on board with adding a run stuffing NT with some pass rush upside and/or a ILB…but this is also something to consider….

If Beane makes those 3 trades Thursday, then comes in Friday and takes either of the stellar DT’s at 35 - Kayden McDonald or Christen Miller, then, if we were going to use the amassed ammo to then trade up in the 2nd to get a falling talent, and instead does it in time to get LB Jake Golday, Josiah Trotter, Anthony Hill Jr or S Emmanuel McNiel-Warren it would have been lauded as an A+ masterclass to trade down and then add high value talent at positions that could contributed at
