Delta rejected adopting SpaceX's @Starlink on its fleet because it wanted to provide internet connectivity to passengers via the Delta Sync portal, instead of the Starlink-branded portal. Delta has since chosen to partner with Amazon's LEO.
This will result in Delta falling behind many of its competitors in offering high-speed WiFi onboard, as many other carriers are already offering or installing Starlink, whereas Amazon's LEO airplane WiFi for Delta is still a couple year away (or more).
Satellites currently in orbit:
• SpaceX's Starlink: 10,400
• Amazon's LEO: 300

Everyone but United and Delta is in varying degrees of trouble. JetBlue is on the verge of going under. There have been 240 airline bankruptcies since deregulation. If we want an airline system we need to regulate it.

Given the news today that Spirit Airlines is shuttering and thousands of people are losing their jobs, I think we should honestly assess whether the Garland DoJ stopping the JetBlue merger with Spirit Airlines was the right call. Perhaps it was but any analysis must consider as part of the equation the loss to so many families ro decide.

@jeffwilcox I took the 1 like from SEA down to Federal Way the other day. It was super slow until Star Lake (I think) and then sped up to 50+ mph along the final stretch. I really don’t get why it couldn’t get up to those speeds earlier in the ride.

The 2 Line is really, really slow at points. Not sure if it’s limitations of technology or if they put poor rail down, but it’s so different than cities like New York and London where the rail is -flying- all the time.

@LocasaleLab @maxdkozlov I mostly agree with your point, but I disagree about it being a “non-story.” Anyone really paying attention has known that NIH would eventually be fully funded once Congress signaled their rejection for cuts. And the delays, while serious, were explainable (shutdown, OMB). 1/2

So, it seems very likely NIH will spend more than FY25 and it’s possible, though challenging, for spending to match FY24.

NIH is not issuing awards. You may think that it's because they it is coming up with new directions of research...The apposite is true.
