So it seems the only thing slower than @VodafoneUK broadband is their customer service line. On hold now for 1hr 10 mins and counting, they're really busy, apparently. Perhaps they, too, are waiting for a download to complete.

@VodafoneUK Apparently, you don't. 0.13 mb/s upload speeds are deemed good enough for £30 per month in your world. You won't upgrade to the non-restricted upload speeds package. My only option is to buy myself out. This is the service @VodafoneUK provides.

Still on hold, Vodafone must be having a nightmare with customers trying to leave. Over 4 hours now

@daniellloyd1 12 years on, I can still vividly remember you arriving back at the hotel that evening. I'm sure Qatar ran out of bandages that day. I'm fairly sure there were sleepless nights for a few days after that one!

Particularly as I crashed again, on the same side, two days later. Cancellara pulled alongside my and said I looked like a wienerschnitzel.

Plapp's crash reminds me of one I had myself in Qatar. That was a sore few days.

@VelocastJohn Brought the Garmin team to Cayman in 2010. Party trick for Roger Hammond and Johan van Summeren was to wait until a group ride with locals was full gas (they thought) with pros on the front, then power past the whole group from the back at 50km/h staying seated on the hoods. Wow.

@daniellloyd1 I've met him and I can confirm your thoughts. I've never worked for him but always wished I'd had the opportunity. So impressed by his unreserved dignity.

I'm sad to see that Marc Sergeant won't be with Lotto Soudal beyond this year. I've never met him, but in every interview or tweet, he comes across as one of the most genuine, honest, encouraging and sympathetic sports managers you could ever have.
