Algebra symbols provide a universal way to express mathematical concepts clearly. Common ones shown are : ≜ for equivalence by definition, ≡ for equivalence, ∝ for proportional to, ⌊ ⌋ and ⌈ ⌉ for floor and ceiling brackets, f(x) and f ∘ g for functions, (a,b) and [a,b] for intervals, △ for discriminant, ∑ and ∏ for sums and products, ∞ for infinity, constants like e, γ, φ and π, {} for sets, ∀ and ∃ for quantifiers, a^b for powers and roots √ ∛ ∜. These symbols are used to formulate equations in scientific research and software development for accurate computations.

Every major crypto asset goes through the same custody upgrade. We’ve already seen the pattern: 1. ETH Only options previously: @coinbase, @krakenfx, @binance, or locking as a solo validator. Now: @LidoFinance, Rocket Pool, and other LSTs, where you stake with no minimum, hold stETH/rETH-style liquid tokens in your custody, and use them across DeFi. 2. USDT/USDC Previously: BlockFi, Celsius, Binance Earn (centralized yield products that held your stablecoins). Now: @aave, @Morpho, and other onchain money markets, where you lend the same coins from your own wallet through smart contracts. 3. BTC Previously: wBTC, cbBTC, or lending platforms that required users to give up custody of their BTC. Now: sBTC on @Stacks, where BTC doesn't leave your wallet and earns yield in BTC. What @muneeb is describing here is the same shift every big asset has already gone through, now finally applied to the biggest asset in crypto.

Trust built onchain has a way of moving people from watching to trying. Stacks is the home for Bitcoin-native finance.

It’s so funny that computers used to be stinky when they failed. In the 60’s IBM used selenium rectifiers. If you look at a periodic table, group 16, you’ll encounter what’s referred to as the “stinkogens”. Starting with sulphur, as you move down the column things get exponentially smellier. When selenium diodes fail, the early stages smell “sickly sweet”. As the failure progresses, it turns into a “catastrophic decayed horseradish”…that’s also extremely toxic. Apparently this issue is well known by computer historians; the CHM went out of their way to bypass the selenium rectifiers with silicon diodes during the restoration process of their IBM 1401 exhibit!

The Collatz conjecture is a simple unsolved math problem: any number, if even divide by 2, if odd multiply by 3 and add 1, eventually falls into a 4-2-1 loop. However, we cannot prove this for all numbers, as infinite possibilities prevent brute force, and we lack the necessary mathematical tools for a rigorous proof.
