June 29, 2009: Quadrics, the #supercomputing and high speed interconnect company, officially shuts its doors. At their height, they were a dominant player in the market - in June 2003, 6 of the top 10 systems on the @top500supercomp list ran on the Quadrics interconnect #HPC

Last week I was in SF for AI + OSS events: OpenAI Dev Day recap hosted by @swyx and @hackgoofer of @aiengfoundation and featuring a demo by @michaelmalyuk of a new open source AI agent (Adala). + "Emergency Hackathon" where I met some amazing devs exploring the new APIs. Congrats to @EthanSutin! (MC by @AlexReibman see below) Since the OpenAI announcement we're already seeing open source communities rise to the challenge of building a fully OSS stack to rival OpenAI, as it should be. A good week for open source AI acceleration. Lastly I had dinner with one of my mentors @lewtucker! Lew is the best. Get yourself a mentor like Lew.
