@Keir_Starmer This is a very minor issue. Ground rent costs are minimal, even at £250, it’s still a significant charge for essentially nothing. The real focus should be on service charges, which are typically much higher and tend to increase year on year.

We're capping ground rent at £250. That means if you are a leaseholder, and your ground rent is more than £250, you’ll be paying less. This will make a huge difference to homeowners and will ease the cost of living for people across the country.

@FreeLeasehlders They'll move it onto the service charge, send out legal letters to harass you, they'll leave the rest of the property in disrepair, you can't sell and offer to buy your property at 50% of the market value. And that is the leasehold prison sentence for 20 years.

But slashing ground rents will make buying out the freehold cheaper for leaseholders. So we can gain rightful control of service charges and block management. This is why the freeloaders are fighting so hard to stop ground rent reduction! It will be the end of the asset class.

@Vonster @FTC @Adobe I've been using Photoshop since its first release - 30+ years. This year - I just stopped due to them raising their fee from £54.29pm to £68.35pm - that's a 26% increase an extra £168.72pa. Adobe has become one large con agents.

The usual suspects are angry and annoyed that the two-child benefit cap will be lifted. I’m delighted because it will help me and other low income families and families on benefits. It will also help reduce child poverty. My only slight disappointment is that we have to wait until April 2026 to get the money. We need the support now.

I repeat, White people are the largest ethnic group among benefit claimants in the UK. You know this Rupert and you may have your ignorant followers fooled by using the 'per capita' distraction. The point remains- you use ethnic minorities as a weapon. Let me break this down for those who continue to fall for your identity politics. Rupert Lowe's net worth estimates around 30 million. Like many wealthy individuals, he doesn’t just not want his taxes being raised to support struggling Brown and Black families, he also doesn’t want his taxes going to struggling White families either. But he's too much of a coward to tell people the truth about who he is. If the latter isn't true and he is happy that his taxes help support White families but not ethnic families, that would make him a racist, in this regard. The real truth is this- the Rupert Lowe's of this country are actually wealthy snobs and discriminate against the lower classes as a whole. Colour is irrelevant to them, unless it can be used to their advantage. If he ever expressed his financial supremacy complex- which would in turn demonise the White lower working and poor class- he would lose his followers. He is a charlatan, like the rest of them.

Government is stuck in technocratic legalism and split the difference politics. The @UKLabour manifesto made a commitment to scrap residential leasehold tenure. This would save the flats market and free up our cash for the real economy. Yet they listen to vested interests!
