How could his previous behavior possibly not be relevant? How could it not inform how you see who he is, what he was up to, what he was likely to be up to the next day and the day after, if he hadn’t been killed? How can this new information not possibly be relevant? It’s like they’ve set up all these psychological guard rails that prevent them from ever concluding anything.

It’s crazy just how much of leftist discourse is trying to convince you not to consider all the facts. They’re always telling you that this thing over here doesn’t really imply anything, that this other event is irrelevant, that you shouldn’t take X into account when thinking about Y. Once you open your eyes to this, you see it everywhere. They’re always trying to get the judge to tell the jury not to consider some set of facts.
