@A_May_MD @Biohazard3737 You are absolutely correct from a scientific point of view. But perhaps incorrect in terms of market demands. It seems to me that people just want to irresponsibly drop weight as fast as possible.

People often ask when we're going to bring Return Stacked® funds to Europe. Unfortunately, no time soon. But others are starting to bring interesting product to that market. AQR just launched the Delphi Fusion Global UCITS Fund — global equities stacked with their market neutral equity strategy. Stack 'em up.

1/ $KITW has officially been taken private. I pitched this on Sept 2nd, and @evfcfaddict was one of the few who saw the vision. Overnight, we locked in gains exceeding 30% on the move. Here is what Andy and I saw that the rest of the market missed. 🧵

@tristan_sudbury @jamiebarclay7 @JumboMcMuffins @RichardHanania In Tennesee v Garner the Supreme Court ruled that you cannot shoot a fleeing car. Regardless of whether the driver committed a crime, will escape, or failed to stop. However, if she did aim the car at the officer. That is a potentially valid point.

Absolutely conclusive that Jonathan Ross killed Renee Good. NYT breakdown of what happened. He starts out by filming her with a cell phone in his hand. What kind of law enforcement does this? Doesn’t he need his hands for other purposes? If his job is dangerous, wouldn’t he need two hands? Most likely saw that he was dealing with a lone white woman and felt no threat. Other cars had gone around Renee Good. There was no obstruction of traffic. Ross and his fellow agents seemed like they were taking the opportunity to harass a citizen whose behavior they disapproved of. Ross then gets in front of the car. Again, you’re not supposed to do that. Nobody has provided any explanation of how this could be justified. All law enforcement who have spoken about this are in agreement. He likely did not get hit by the car, and if he did it was just barely, and his legs and body were away from the car after he could see she was turning away. It appears that maybe his arm got hit if anything, and that was because he was holding out his cell phone, which again no real cop would do. And here’s the absolute nail in the coffin: he fires two more shots while he’s clearly off to the side! By this point, the other agent was getting away from the car. Ross just keeps shooting two more times. None of this even stops the car, but it does kill Renee Good. Ross first reaction after doing this is to curse the woman he just killed. Murder. There’s no longer any way to argue anything else.

@tristan_sudbury @jamiebarclay7 @JumboMcMuffins @RichardHanania You should look up Tennesee v Garner. Arguing whether she was a felon or if she was fleeing actually doesn't matter. Neither meets the bar for use of deadly force. A better (but debatable) argument is that the officer thought he was in imminent danger. This is what matters.

The number one problem with DCFs is that it assumes you are really really really good at predicting the future - which almost no one is Works best in industries that are very mature, but especially nowadays, it really isn’t going to help you much

We are going to see mass protests in the not too far distant future. Trump is going to call them illegal and have Hegseth deploy the military to crack down. Would not be surprised to see it used as a pretext for very, very bad things. Stop underestimating MAGA.

@TexasOncologist @bennpeifert I don't have strong feelings either way. But I'm curious why you think they wouldn't deploy the military? The protests seem all but guaranteed, no?

@HML_Compounder @AndrewHolpe @TaxAlphaInsider IBKR doesn’t pay interest on the first $100K of short proceeds, and they are subtracted when calculating adjusted net cash for interest purposes. So you get benchmark - spread - borrow on the short proceeds, but pay benchmark + spread if you buy other securities.

@Nicholas_Meyers @theNomLife @SowingAlphaSeed @CliffordAsness So the 3.7% fee is ~1.1% more than that proxy, but Apex while closely correlated to that, had better risk properties, so not 1-1. That fee mark-up is inline with the 30-40% increase of other Fusion funds though, and is still pretty competitive with UCTIS 1.9% + 20% for 7% vol.
