@neontaster A dab of super-glue on the screw will provide enough friction to stop that, but be fairly easy to unscrew with a screwdriver in the event you need to remove the knob.

Because of the way my shower faucets are built, tightening the hot water in the off position applies loosening torque to the screw holding it in place, so every time I shut the water off, the fucking knob comes loose. 10/10 engineering.

@BitcoinErrorLog I would think not - pushing the hash rate against the desire of the market is (almost by definition) a money loser - a longer (whatever that really means) period of recalculation means the bad-actor needs to eat the loss for a longer period of time.

Why doesn't Bitcoin difficulty reset more often? 2016 blocks is a long time to allow miners to inflate the issuance rate, or a long time to wait if diff has a sharp decline. What's the upside to long periods?
