you buy a game to give money to the developer for their effort; the license you receive is a side effect
it is only through piracy that your ownership is ever secured. most only appreciate this when the license is taken away

Denuvo properly cracked in Resident Evil: Requiem, bypasses become plug-and-play — cracked version runs faster, smoother, and uses way less VRAM and RAM tomshardware.com/video-games/pc…

Wants a remaster of a game that's only 12 years old and still holds up beautifully.

@clongmire42 I see, outside of VR I don't think I've ever seen this disconnect managed well. should be a fun problem to contend with

That but also the over reliance on physics. It causes the player to have to mentally manage things that aren't really a problem in reality, which causes frustration. In a lot of similar physics swordfighting games, it's tough to put the sword where you want or even swing it consistently. In reality if you were to give someone a sword and tell them to hit a watermelon, they'd do it first try. Maybe not with good technique but they'd still hit it. But in these sorts of games it can be a real struggle even for an experienced player. And ultimately that's the sort of thing that degrades the gameplay for me.

@vanerorg Sure have, and others like it. Fun, but not ideal.
