Just a lay in, mainly to impress on my #animdiversity mentee the importance of using reference as a spring board rather than a close guide. Reference is collected, edited and reedited, timed and retimed, long before jumping in to Maya. #mentoring #animation

@Owl3_D Nah i just browsed endlessly in google until I could find this among all the AI slop 🫠 it's easier for some genres than others, I didn't have to search too long to find this image but it's a lot harder when searching for martial arts references 😬

Did this exercise with 2 key poses and it a little bit challenging in trying to connect the dots, but this was a fun, low-pressure way to get the brain cells moving! 😁

@jo_annechovy Is there a site you used to find images like these or? Interested in attempting this myself with a wider variety for multiple exercises if possible.

I used this as ref and had someone throw me 2 random numbers, which ended up being 6-3 💃
