Welp, this one’s a doozy. We’ve now learned that 1 horse out there could survive drinking approximately 5 gallons of diesel heating fuel that leaked into his natural spring. The marks on his back legs are hair loss from the diesel exiting his body. Geoffrey was apparently the only one to like the taste, it’s a miracle he’s alive. And no, the hospital had never seen this before… ever.

Geoffrey is very excited to be home from the hospital. Shout out to New Bolton for saving our boys life. He spent about 2 weeks in critical care and is not out of the woods yet, but finally turning him back out with his best buds sure felt good.

That’s a major blow. To exposure. To relevance. To the future of the sport. And @jockeyclub? Absolute silence. No statement. No plan. No urgency. Nothing. Now compare that to ANY other major sport: The NFL? Press conference within hours. The NBA? Immediate response and a plan. MLB? Stakeholders addressed, media engaged, strategy outlined. Within hours, normal leadership shows up when the lights start flickering. They get in front of it. They communicate. They deploy resources. They make it clear: we’ve got this. But here? Nothing. No reassurance to stakeholders. No commitment to deploy capital. No indication they’ll use every available resource to stabilize the sport. Just silence… while one of the last platforms disappears. And let’s not forget… For nearly TWO MONTHS, the industry has been asking direct questions. Still no answers. Now this happens…and still no response. So what exactly does it take? Because if losing a major distribution platform doesn’t trigger leadership… what does? Meanwhile: Over $150 MILLION between @jockeyclub and @BreedersCup sits idle. While visibility shrinks. While fans drift away. While the sport gets pushed further out of relevance. This isn’t just disappointing. It’s indefensible. So here’s the question, simple and unavoidable: Where is the so-called leadership? Because right now, when the sport needs it most, there isn’t any. REPOST IF YOU EXPECT MORE THAN SILENCE. REFORM IS COMING!
