@TolkienWorldG If you watch the theatrical version, this cut leads to Saruman just being…left at the top of the tower with Gandalf saying “he’s not going anywhere” (the white wizard!?) and pippin randomly seeing the palantir in the water. So rushed and awkward. Easily the worst cut.

After appearing as one of the trilogy’s main villains for two movies, audiences never learned what happened to him unless they later watched the Extended Edition.

The common thread between 2017 and now is bail/criminal justice reform.
Whether it contributed to increased crime or not, the public decided it did because they have for the past few years repeatedly heard stories of repeat offenders doing shit like pushing people in front of trains.

I feel one thing I do agree with anti-woke types on is that there isn't really a need to change the race of an already established character. Just create a new original character, give them their own series, and cast someone like Idris Elba to play him instead.

The issue is, to run a statewide race in California you need millions upon millions of dollars. A non billionaire progressive who had 200 million dollars worth of ads 100% would have advanced. But there was no way they were going to get that kind of money.
