@ULCTcitycafe I will miss Gary as well. He was a consistent influence for good among city managers and local elected officials in Utah. His public safety experience added a dimension many of us haven’t had directly. Julie and I send our condolences to Team ULCT and the Whatcott family.

Yesterday, Team ULCT lost a colleague and a friend as our Senior Advisor Gary Whatcott suddenly passed away from a heart attack. All of us at Team ULCT are grateful for the time we shared with Gary, We grieve his loss and send our sympathies and love to the entire Whatcott family

So, today I announced that I am retiring from my role as Provo City's Chief Administrative Officer effective September 16, 2023. It will mark 20 years since I arrived in Provo in 2003, and given circumstances in my life it seemed like the opportune time to make the transition
