People see this post, don’t read a single reply, and think i’m saying “Don’t prioritize defense.” I want the team to avoid panic picking a substantially worse player. This isn’t rocket science. Picking Jeremiyah Love requires the Bengals to actually utilize FA correctly tho.
WDU | Whodeyupdates@whodeyupdates

Jeremiyah Love should 1000% be on the table for the #Bengals in the first round of the NFL Draft. At the end of the day, this team needs elite players. I’d argue if Caleb Downs is off the board, Love would be the best player available. He makes the team better. That matters.

@burrow_time @BengalsKorey This seems like a pretty unlikely hypothetical situation opposed to something with an actual foundation to it. It’s great to have Dugger as security / valuable experience, but he wasn’t signed to take anyone’s job.

@BengalsKorey He’s a half asser. He half asses. If he does that this season, with Duggar on the roster, there’s a real chance that at some point they bench him — or more likely that Duggar will eat into his snaps.

@BengalsTalk I love the upside of Jaydn Ott. If he drops due to his lack of usage at OU, I think there’s a huge chance to capitalize and hope you can get the 2024 Cal version from him.

Signing Kyle Duggar will not affect the Bengals' draft plans, at #10 or elsewhere. It's a 1-yr deal (for likely around $2M or so, I'd guess). A solid depth signing of a versatile secondary player.

@brandonseamon97 @andreperrotta13 @Bengalsfan631 You very clearly didn’t see the explanation on my story afterwards where I said I wanted to create a unique scenario because I’ve been talking about Peter Woods for north of two months Mock drafts mean absolutely nothing, I gain nothing from mocking Woods to the Bengals 15 times

Per source, Ja'Sir Taylor passed up an offer that included guaranteed money for the chance to join the Bengals nickel competition. Jalen Davis, Taylor, and Bralyn Lux -- who quietly impressed on PS in '25 -- are options. Plus Kyle Dugger comes aboard: wlwt.com/article/cincin…

@andreperrotta13 @Bengalsfan631 Bengals going DL at 10 because gotta listen what Duke Tobin say at the combine as well because he hinted Shemar Stewart and Walter Nolen last year's combine and this year's combine he hinted Peter Woods and DE

@maxmurp_ @M_C_Curzon BJ was also a very good run defender last year. Just put a DT next to him with some ability to get to the passer, and it helps him out.

@M_C_Curzon According to this chart, Allen is above average, BJ is average, and the others were below. Look at the guys in the same area as those guys. Heavy reinforcement? No. A solid piece added in the draft? Yes

@benga1scentre Pretty hard to be a Bengals fan and try to get any relevant information on what they could do when every single front office and staff member is PR trained to deflect or lie. It’s essentially just reading in between the lines and hoping you get lucky.

@BengalsBrews I’d love to know what the long term upside is here. Do you view him in the Sample bucket or as a player that can provide something as a pass catcher? maybe in a Barner realm?

@Ryan_D2TF I know Domani is coming off a pretty bad year at Bama, but was quite good the year prior. Not a perfect prospect by any means, but I actually think that’s a great swing to take in round 7 in this scenario. Just bank on the athleticism and hope for the best.

Here is my April Fools mock. Pick that would make me ask if this was a joke or not. 1. Round 2 guy 2. Horribly unathletic, but hits their size. 3. Reach 4. UDFA-level 5. Another TE 6. Low-upside WR 7. Low-upside RB 8. BBQ chicken corner

@DDMeritt I agree, but purely stylistically, I think it’s hard to match the physicality that Hilton brings, but I do think Scott brings that level better than most corners do.

Ponds is Hilton, if Hilton was an elite athlete and could cover. Guy is physical, would be awesome in the slot. Is he small, yes, but he competes his butt off and his character/intangibles are what you want. I’ve got a 21 year old Ponds over Scott and it’s not particularly close.

Keionte Scott is the best “Mike Hilton replacement” in this draft, in my opinion. Will be 25 as a rookie, but I think his willingness to tackle and physicality really match that Mike Hilton mold.

@Borson94 Really talented player, but will essentially be 30 by the end of his rookie contract, which does matter to me, but ultimately, if they’re a good player, and the 21-22 year old isn’t, then I can’t complain.
