@janeannenichol Nowt wrong with being a bibliophile, I always find it hard to pass a good bookshop
English

@oftheVotadini Sparky, my house is like a library! I bought a succession of IKEA Billy Bookcases simply to accommodate the books I’ve read/acquired. I did fall out of love with reading for a few years but books & music will always have a place in my heart. You’re a like-minded soul, I suspect.
English

@janeannenichol Very much so….me wife regularly rolls her eyes and says ‘not another book?!’ when I get a delivery or wander in after a trip to Waterstones etc 😂
English

@oftheVotadini 😂Could be worse! Your wife could be complaining you’re never out of the pub! Keep reading Sparky and please feel free to recommend any good books.
English

@janeannenichol My book choices would prob bore you rigid, love me non-fiction particularly history
English

@oftheVotadini Wrong! I love anything history related. I did a degree in English Literature/Language and it naturally involved history. I have always loved history, particularly local history. Please keep me posted about anything you find, relating to the North East.
English

@janeannenichol I’ll send you some stuff at the weekend in your DM & likewise open to any of your suggestions
English

@oftheVotadini @janeannenichol Have you read ‘bury my heart at wounded knee’ mate?
English

@fireandskill @janeannenichol Yeah it’s a classic, actually got 2 copies, a battered one from about 1982 and a more modern edition being the sad bugger that I am 😂
English

@oftheVotadini @janeannenichol It’s brilliant but heart wrenching
English

@fireandskill @oftheVotadini I’ve never read it… I know vaguely that it’s about the persecution of American tribes. It’s now going on my list to read. We should create a book club! Yes, I know you two will probably recoil with utter disdain! 😂
English

@janeannenichol @fireandskill We elect you President & we’ll carry your books 🤣
