Maryam Marof Arwin, a prominent Afghanistan female leader, from within Afghanistan, asserts that the path to peace is through justice for women. She emphasizes that one of the fundamental barriers to achieving lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan is the absence of social justice and the lack of social harmony. Additionally, ethnic and national discrimination, in conjunction with internal challenges and foreign interference, have contributed to making peace in Afghanistan remain an elusive dream, even after years of suffering and sacrifice by the people. Arwin stresses that overcoming internal obstacles is crucial for attaining sustainable peace and stability. Such efforts can also have a direct impact on mitigating the negative effects of external factors. She further highlights that until true social justice and equality are established in Afghanistan, real and enduring peace will remain unattainable.
