@76pack @ThePhilliesPod It’s early, but McGonigle grew up in our backyard, the Phils had a chance to get him, but chose Miller who was falling down the draft board. I don’t blame the Phils but might be a tough break.

The Phillies are going to regret Aidan Miller for the next 15 years.

I think she is probably just hurt over the situation, especially having been given no prior notice—reasonably so. The Phillies carry her Husband’s professional legacy, and this is a major slight on it. Make it right, Phils.

You wouldn’t feel that way if they changed the name of the ballpark, and that’s a bank. Harry the K’s has been there nearly as long. Citizen Bank didn’t even IPO until 2014. Harry Kalas was with us through Veterans Stadium, start to finish. I am right, and you will realize it.

Reminder: A ball that hits in fair territory and bounces over a wall is a double in every ballpark in which baseball is played. It is not a “ground rule” as ground rules are rules that apply to unique features in a ballpark. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Harry Kalas' widow said the Phillies betrayed the legendary broadcaster by removing Harry The K's for the Ghost Energy Deck and breaking the $20,000 a year contract with her. They won't be able to play High Hopes in 2027 unless they pay. inquirer.com/phillies/harry…

@Pat_Egan Ownership is a partnership with its consumers. I don’t root for Josh Harris at all… I still want the 76ers to do well. His occupancy atop the front office call sheet is just a stewardship. No one person can really everything that is a pro sports franchise.

I find it funny that a lot of baseball journalists seem to be kind of cheering for the Pirates to do well. Buying into….*checks notes* Brandon Lowe… I feel bad for their fan base but I wouldnt root for an organization that time & time again penny pinches/doesnt want to compete

This is getting ridiculous. We can’t do this for 162 games. You didn’t see a lot of Harper jerseys?? According to MLB.com, he’s the 13th highest selling jersey in baseball this current year. Amongst non-Dodgers, he’s top 7. This angst is imaginary and pathological.
