Brady never won a Super Bowl without a top 8 defense. Mahomes has done it twice, Eli did it twice, Peyton did it, Elway did it, Brees did it, Flacco did it. But not Brady, who is supposedly the greatest player ever.

Having Brady meant you were in position to win any given Sunday. He was a player , a player coach and an u believable competitor. With Brady you was almost assured Semi- conference finals at a minimum . Most case AFC conference finals, 50 percent of his career made it to the Super Bowl where he took home the greatest prize 7 out of 10 times over a span of 23 years. One year spent sidelined injured. His super bowls came over a span of his year which meant his dominance was not concentrated to one specific point in his career. You all can go eff off. He proved he could elevate lesser talent and extract the most out of any player in front of him. Brady is the GOAT and anyone fan of football did not want to see the ball in his hands running the two minute drill to set up the game winner.

#Phillies Jesús Luzardo ranks 76th of 77 qualified pitchers with a 5.77 ERA. He ranks 15th with a 2.95 FIP, third with 11.7 K/9, and has broken savant. What is the disconnect? A .386 BAbip... highest in baseball. FWIW, Cristopher Sanchez is 3rd highest at .360. Defense.

I’ll dumb it down just for you. Defense — GLOBALLY— does not matter. In isolated incidents, defense can make a big difference… poorly timed errors, bad outfield coverage, etc. Over the course of an entire season, I only care about offense, because these isolated incidents are a matter of luck, not determinant pattern. Why? Because there are very few “bad” defenders today. Why: Part II? Because everyone effing strikes out anyway so who cares? Defense was the culprit three weeks ago because shit happens, but it won’t always. Hope that helps.

‘Grilled cheeses’ is correct grammatically… even colloquially, though the judges might accept grilled cheese. I’m not offended by either, but let’s make one thing clear— I’ve written five books. Plural. They’re all dope as hell and I highly recommend. And my wife does this garlic butter thing with her grilled cheese recipe that is phenomenal.

I was Russini’s biggest supporter… until it became clear she broke one of the pillar rules of journalism. To hold her to account is not misogyny… to not do that would be. And as for the Clark stuff, I’m a stats guy. Her being one of the five best players in the WNBA is not my call… the stats and her vote total for MVP in 2024 tell that tale.

OMG! Tom McCarthy just called the inning over when Trea Turner took a 2nd strike. The Phillies executed a double steal on the play and he had them going to the dugout!!!!! Totally unacceptable!!!!!!! He was definitely on his phone!! Get rid of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a fan of this at all. Thanksgiving Eve is one of the best party days of the year. It's also a travel day for many people as they go home to see their family. I love the NFL but it doesn't need to completely monopolize our lives plus with so many games Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, that Sunday after Thanksgiving isn't as good.
