why abstract? there are so many new chains, the ecosystem feels "spread out and fragmented," and users wonder, "why do we need another l2?" @LucaNetz breaks it down simply on podcast with @ProofOfEly - mega eth isn’t live - there’s nothing to do on mega eth. - monad isn’t live either - these chains only go live when their token goes live. he explains that abstract is different because it actually exists now: "we’re not waiting to be live." he compares it to base. when base launched, it instantly became huge because, as he says: "base worked for years, shipped mainnet, and earned the premium of a top blockchain." the simple analogy: base wasn’t hype, it was homework done early. then he says something bold: "we can launch abstract at a couple billion bucks tomorrow." but that’s not the goal. they’re aiming higher: "we’re trying to hit the 20–30 billion kahuna." meaning: not a quick pump, but a long term, big swing chain. he explains why a user should care: "our consumer journey is better." "our product is better." "our infrastructure is up there with the top chains." then he adds a simple reality check: "i’ve poked around every blockchain, there isn’t much to do." "i can find more to do on abstract than on 90-95% of chains." and finally: the part everyone needs to hear. they refused the easy, mercenary model: "we could have done predeposits, pumped the metrics, rushed to a $2-3b tge, let everyone dump, and the ecosystem dies." that path was easy, but they chose the harder one, because: abstract is swinging for a real, long term chain, not a temporary chart spike.
