Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States.
Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan."
This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States.
The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

Earlier this week I heard from students at an NJ community college.
For many of them, working the night shift before class or having two jobs is routine. They are struggling to afford gas, groceries, childcare, and tuition.
Life is too expensive for too many. We need to focus on the American people.

In a big win, we secured a court order to block the Trump administration's demand for student data from colleges.
Students shouldn't live in fear that their data will be turned over for a crusade against DEI.
As our lawsuit continues, I'll keep fighting to stop this mandate.

Jeff Van Drew should get another job, because he hasn't done the one taxpayers pay him to do. As a rubber stamp for Trump's failed agenda, he has only done harm to the people of his district, and should resign.
