On 9/11 @RudyGiuliani ran to the towers to assist and lead. While there one of the towers fell and he was trapped. Upon emerging from the building he was covered by white dust . He spent a lot of time at Ground Zero for months. In subsequent years he developed restrictive airway disease from the toxins . He lives with difficulty breathing every day. Recently he got a virus, metapneumovirus that overwhelmed his already compromised 9/11 lungs . He remains in the hospital . He is aware of the prayers and he feels them. He is a deeply religious man.
