Anyone surprised by this hasn’t read the Art of the Deal. “Nothing ever happens” Of course it doesn’t. Trump’s MO is and has always been to operate this way. 1. See a problem. 2. Make the most batshit crazy and outlandish threats anyone could ever think of and act like he has nothing to lose. 3. Immediately agree to negotiate as soon as it’s put on the table . Go back to ANY “thing” that’s ever come up in his presidency (either) and you’ll see this exact pattern. A business owner doesn’t want to agree to a merger with one of Trump’s companies? Trump: I’ll short the fuck out of your stock and then buy it all up for pennies. Then I’ll fire everyone and have my own people run it. Business owner: WTF? Let’s talk. Trump: I’d love to. Iran doesn’t want to open the straightening Hormuz? Trump: Fuck it. Well bomb the whole country and the drop a nuke and kill everyone in the region with a big beautiful blast and then give them all cancer for generations. Iran: WTF? Let’s talk. Trump: I’d love to. It’s the same old shit every time.

If Democrats want to weaponize our airports against Americans to block deportations of illegals, then Republicans should strip blue state airports of their international airport designations and remove CBP so zero foreigners can enter. Fight fire with fire.

"Trump", whose correct title is President Trump, is not "embittered against Mueller". Don't speak of him like you speak of a scorned woman. President Trump is speaking up for the innocents, like myself, that Mueller hurt and ruined the lives of. Mueller was always a dirty cop. Like Biden was always a dirty, corrupt politician, young and old. Stop trying to make people feel sorry for an "old man" Mueller's legacy is that of corruption, waisting millions of public funds, dividing the country, and breaking the Constitution.

Bob Mueller was one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI, transforming the bureau after 9/11 and saving countless lives. But it was his relentless commitment to the rule of law and his unwavering belief in our bedrock values that made him one of the most respected public servants of our time. Michelle and I send our condolences to Bob’s family, and everyone who knew and admired him.

That thing is hideous. Can we all agree that luxury towers should not be erected on city owned land? The city wants to build a "600-ft.-tall apartment tower on city-owned land on Little West 12th Street in the Meatpacking District — which they call “Gansevoort Square” via @GVSHP

@brianlebased @estencooke Grant took over the eastern theater and went belt to ass. “Lee lost but gracefully” is not a sign of his generalship. Lee himself acknowledged Grant as his superior at the end of the war

@BlueMax_0 @estencooke Uh...he failed all military objectives against Lee in 1864. Lee outgeneraled him, so Grant looked at his notes, said screw it, throw em into a meat grinder until it's over. There's a reason the Northern papers called Grant "the butcher."

I've actually been to Andersonville. It is quite disturbing, even in retrospect, but Federal apologists fail to tell the truth about this camp. The facts: 1. Up until 1864 prisoners were routinely "paroled" meaning they were sent home but forbidden to fight until they had been "exchanged. Grant ended this agreement. He could not defeat Robert E. Lee in the field so he chose to fight a war of attrition. 2. The South was starving by this time and hygiene was not fully understood. Men bathed, drank, and defecated in the same water supply. Rations given to POWs were the same sustaining CSA troops. The RRs were destroyed and Georgia was very far from Richmond. Priority was always given to actively fighting soldiers, but even they had to rely on food packages from home and what could be scrounged locally. 3. Unless and until Yankees are willing to acknowledge their crimes committed against Southerners in camps like Elmira and Johnson's Island, camps that were deliberately cruel because the North had plenty of food and clothing, your attack against the Confederacy is nothing more than hyperbole.
Military History Now@MilHistNow

Today in 1864, the Confederate army opens a POW camp at Andersonville, Georgia. More than 45,000 Union prisoners will be held there in the Civil War's final year. 13,000 will die of disease, starvation & exposure. The camp commandant will later hang for his role in their deaths.

@salimadofo Why should we subsidize the lowest earners? Shouldn’t we want a city with affluent, high paid workers who can subsequently support higher wages across the board? All this does is economically stagnate a city DESPERATELY in need of a boost. K shaped economy is a failure

A More Affordable DC is Here I’m proud to serve as the proposer of DC’s newest ballot initiative: More Affordable DC. Right now, housing costs in DC are rising far faster than wages—forcing long-time residents, families, and essential workers out of the communities they helped build. This initiative gives voters a direct way to fix that imbalance. More Affordable DC will: ✔️ Freeze rents for two years to provide immediate relief ✔️ Fix affordable housing rules so they serve DC residents earning 60% AMI or less ✔️ Stop counting wealthy suburbs like Fairfax, Loudoun, and Montgomery County in DC’s income limits ✔️ Require family-sized, permanently affordable housing on public land This is about stability, fairness, and keeping DC inclusive for every generation. Let’s connect and build together. 👉 Stay connected: bit.ly/3NNwG1r #MoreAffordableDC #HousingJustice #KeepDCAffordable #DCFamilies

Fuck you. That flag isn’t a goddamn buffet where you pick the parts that stroke your fragile ego and spit out the rest. It’s a contract. It’s the unbroken chain of men who died face-down in foreign mud so you could flip tricks down a snowy hill and call yourself an “athlete.” You don’t get to wear it while publicly vomiting on the very nation that handed you every privilege you’ve ever known. This isn’t “nuance.” This is narcissistic betrayal dressed up as virtue. You’re not brave; you’re a coward hiding behind performative detachment because deep down you know your politics are fashionable poison that couldn’t survive five minutes under scrutiny. You crave the applause of the coastal echo chamber more than you crave loyalty to the people who actually built this country. You want to signal how “evolved” you are? Fine. Pack your shit. The second your plane touches down, revoke the passport, strip the citizenship, and ship your disloyal ass straight to Pyongyang. Let’s see how long your enlightened whining lasts when the state decides what you’re allowed to think, say, or ski. America doesn’t need athletes who treat her like an embarrassing relative they tolerate for the inheritance. We need warriors who understand that representing this nation is an honor purchased in full by better men than you. Get the fuck out. And take every last one of your enablers with you. 💀🖕🏻
Spitfire@RealSpitfire

Screw these athletes. They should be sent home. He literally says he isn’t there representing his country, just his family and friends. What a disgrace. Ungrateful POS.

Notice how it’s blue despite spreading everyone out 13 people per square mile Do you enjoy breathing polluted air in a place that lacks ecological diversity? You’re a fascist. Straight up, Hitler Stalin, those are people that liked the apartment block and dense urban planning. Environmentalists prefer spreading out density as it mitigates environmental harm. Fascist like concentrating density as it increases air pollution asthma cardiovascular diseases etc Don’t make me post about particulate pollution inside nyc subway trains… it’s literally insane they don’t have surgeon general warnings for carcinogens on your ticket stub.

New Yorkers have the lowest carbon footprints of any Americans because so many of us live in dense walkable neighborhoods and rarely drive. NYC is the greenest place to live in America. 8.5m New Yorkers moving to sprawling exurbs would be environmentally disastrous.
Finem Respice@tworedjags

@OpenNYForAll They’re more room outside the city you know. Literally all of New York could offset their pollution by moving to low density areas with cleaner air water and significantly greater ecological diversity

There is a coffee shop in Rock Hill, SC called Flora Coffee. It has been my favorite since we first tried it a month ago and we've been back repeatedly. Sadly, this sign is now posted on their door. Let's ignore the fact that 63% of York County voted straight-ticket Republican in the 2024 election. It's not a smart business model to alienate customers in ANY city. Ah well....there are plenty of coffee shops here that WILL cater to customers who recognize this nation's sovereignty. I will give them my money.

I think of all the American kids killed in drunk driving incidents by illegal aliens, who then never returned to their classrooms across the nation. No thanks. Liam Ramos and every illegal alien must go home. Birthright citizenship must be ended retroactively.
CBS News@CBSNews

Inside 5-year-old Liam Ramos’ classroom, his cubby and little hat — similar to the one worn the morning he was taken by ICE — remain untouched as a reminder of his presence, @lilialuciano reports. His classmates and teacher sent a heartfelt video message, blowing kisses and telling Liam they miss him and admire his strength while he remains in detention with his father. The principal said the school is keeping his belongings in place, trusting he will return, and the community has rallied to support families, providing food and safe transportation for students whose parents are fearful of leaving home amid ongoing immigration enforcement actions.
