So far today I've seen people scooting on the sidewalk (not from a pilot) or in the road (Scooty), but none actually in the bike lane on Main Street South, because its falling apart and a death trap if you tried to be there.

SaskTel does actually lower prices in Saskatchewan across the board because the cartel has actual competition. Tbaytel also is quite competitive in Thunder Bay, gigabit Internet for Downtown Torontl prices in the north.

Everyone needs to be reminded that a not-for-profit grocery chain exists in Canada: Co-op, and they’re across western Canada. Prices are comparable to for-profit chains. Also Saskatchewan has a publicly owned telecoms company, SaskTel. It is a competitive market and some people still choose for-profit providers. These are good options but not magical ones! They don’t solve poverty and hunger and they definitely aren’t 35% cheaper.

It’s worth noting that a 50% decrease in development charges in a city like Toronto still leaves them about 10x higher than they were at the turn of the century, adjusted for inflation, and around where they were in 2018.

Canadian workers earn 55 cents for every dollar that American workers get. After a decade of anti-growth Liberal policies, we produce less, move less, and earn less. We don't have to accept decline. We must get government out of the way to green-light projects, attract investment, and grow paycheques at home.
