Still cannot figure out how the Hoos are the only team in the ACC unable to provide their own set of homer announcers for baseball. We go on the road and it's basically a couple fans of the other team always calling the game.

@den_shorts I think it's one of those things where the coaches don't like him for rookie reasons and there's very little pushback from the players about it bc of how they jibe (or don't) with him

😮 The Spurs now have huge incentive to go beat Denver on Sunday. Why? Because a Nuggets loss combined with Lakers win vs. Utah could drop Denver to 4th seed and elevate the Lakers to 3rd in a tight seeding race. This bracket manipulation avoids a direct second round clash with Denver while OKC would most likely have to face each other in the second round.

You knew he could do it. James Wood with a Jo Adell-like jumping outfield catch deep in the right field corner to rob Nolan Gorman of extra bases. WOW!

Everyone cites the Sombor over Wemby as his most impressive shot. I disagree. It’s this one. Short baseline is the toughest shot in hoops. But to pull this off in the final seconds over a 12-foot guy is next level. Try it. Stop what you’re doing, find a 7-5 guy and try this shot.
CoffeeNuggetsBeer@Hefflin

@VicLombardi The arc and the touch on this shot in that situation is mind boggling. And they are finally getting some home court MoJo back.

@ErinBurr27 Thats very interesting. Thats an impressive trait because its so hard for me to watch a movie adaptation and not question detours from book in real time. Gosling was great and I was definitely rooting for him to do well. I want to go see it again in theater!

I tend to like to judge adaptations on their own merit. On that alone, I just appreciate how smartly written the story was. Idk if it's just me, but it often feels like with movies I have to choose be sharp construction and narrative depth and I really thought this struck that balance. And this is my favorite Ryan Gosling performance, like I said idk for sure from the book but it felt like Dr. Grace was written for him
