What was the more principled libertarian approach to the 2024 election? I genuinely don't know. I do know even the most principled libertarian on the planet, Ron Paul, while not trusting Trump as far as he could throw him, was somewhat cautiously optimistic with how Trump was talking. Cautiously optimistic with what a candidate is saying is about as close as we have gotten in recent decades to a President with any libertarian views. It's terrible but that's reality.

If Tucker of all people can say it then so can the libertarians who carried water for Trump and demeaned the more principled libertarians who warned against all of this. Are they really going to let Tucker have more moral courage than they are?

Just as in the US, the rule of law means that you have to follow due process, allow the defendant to put together a defense, put together the case, etc. -- it takes time. Unlike Iran.
