@jhil1l My first was a c-section, and having been home from hospital for two days (while nursing every three hours, the husband woke me up to tell me there was a mouse in the basement. Like I’m supposed to struggle down two flights of stairs and kill a mouse. 🚩

@nickimoraa Yes. I seem to have sensitivity to certain scents. Patchouli in particular. I was waiting tables, and there was a server I had to steer clear of. Nobody wants a server who is sneezing and hacking while handling food. Didn’t go through boss, we worked it out.

@HazelAppleyard Gosh, even my dog seems embarrassed when he flatulates in front of us. Not that we’d shame him, he’s a dog, but he recognizes that he needs to go outside. Also well trained to express when he needs to go outside.

@Felgavi @HazelAppleyard So she chose to spend her energy at the gym instead of in bed. There is no need for a gym with an enthusiastic sex life. And I’m sure their marriage vows included to have and to hold, and not “except when I go to the gym”.

@Thebiglade Absolutely. Childhood is for exploring and learning how to become adults. Part of adulting is admitting your mistakes. Doing so with your kids sets the example. Mom and dad aren’t perfect, and that’s ok. Now they know mistakes are part of life, learn from them, and move on.

@Streakshooter31 @HazelAppleyard Agree, with a caveat. It’s the ovaries that maintain the cycle. Women who’ve had partial hysterectomy, where only the uterus is removed, still have the mood swings, with no actual bleeding. You’re right, dude doesn’t have any of the parts.

@HazelAppleyard Youd have to have a uterus to have a period, and last time i checked, a man does not have a uterus. Short answer is no. Long answer is fuck no! This is for all the dumbasses who think men can have periods.

Same here. Offering women nowadays is a land mine of potential negative reaction it isn’t worth it. We were just visiting Chicago during the holiday with our teenage kids. So we offered and got berated for us thinking that the woman “needed” our seat. Our 15 yr old daughter asked her what is so sad in her life that she has to be so unkind when having someone be kind.

She stood gripping the cold metal pole as the subway rattled forward, her feet aching while every seat around her was filled, mostly by men glued to their phones, headphones in, eyes down. The train lurched, and she steadied herself, remembering a time when someone would’ve stood up without being asked, offering a seat with a small nod of courtesy. She glanced around, feeling invisible, and wondered when that simple gesture disappeared. Had chivalry quietly died underground with the echo of the rails, or were human values just being redefined right in front of her?

You go to visit your grandmother in the hospital and she’s got a shared room. The other woman in the shared room keeps throwing the curtains at you. Whether it’s funny or not it begs the question why hospitals make you share a room at all. Would you want to deal with that and have you had similar things happen.
Suzee Q@SusieM414141

This woman is claiming that a cop stopped the traffic on the freeway and moved a dead body off the road. Im not sure where this is at but it’s been my understanding they woukdnt move a dead body. They’d have to call an examiner and shut down the highway. Could it be possible it was she mistaken?!

@TheraPantis @KeriA1776again Those of us who were specialists could ask one question about a call, and the answer could go in 5 directions. No call can compare to boots on the ground. There, you’re using all of your senses. I used to walk my units, touch the pipes. Sometimes I’d climb a tower just to see.

Exactly. People want proof of value, and reliability of offering. So they think they want things written down and demonstrable, and there is a kind of value in that. But really, whatever is truly valuable happens in each moment, as a reaction to the moments which led up to it, and what will ultimately manifest rarely looks exactly like what was planned in the past. That’s just how life unfolds. The Quantum state is where I reside, where everything is possible, but what is observed is a matter of what has happened up til now, and what I feel is observable within all of that, and want to carry forward in a desired direction.

@thatdudereed_ Darling, everyone has setbacks one way or another, not just talking weight loss. You’re not alone. A lot of people think about doing the things they should, but you’re taking action. Be proud, and be patient with your body. You’ll get there.

@TheraPantis @KeriA1776again I totally understand. I was tasked with developing a web-based decision help, but each question led to so many multi-layered questions. It’s like casting out a net and basing decisions on what comes out.

Also, another question then: What if for my mind, I can see and express A-E, but it happens like “B, E, C, D, A” sometimes? For me, my mind is like, “Oh yeah, we’ve got a way from A to E here. Doesn’t matter the order, we can figure that out when we get to each step. For now just pick A, and do it. Then pick out B, and so on.” If you ask me to unravel it all up front, I may have a hard time because B, C, D, and E aren’t immediately required, and I’ve learned that by the time we get to them, they won’t be or look exactly like what we thought anyways. In a way, it’s always step “A” for me, but it is based on all the steps which led up to it. It’s not that I can’t see the forest through the trees, and do t have a plan to get from boots on the ground, to greater vision or vice versa. It’s that anyone who has done that enough knows it’s a little bit of a waste of time and energy to try to pin down things too far out, or explain things which have already been captured and could be explained by AI if you really want to know them. The most valuable thing now is the ability to generate the next thing in alignment with the future state desired, and hold the intention clear, however complex it may be.

@ProtopianElf @KYmama4liberty @DiaryofaSickGrl Now you’ve got me thinking, I spent so much time on those units, that my normal may be abnormal to others. I can distinguish between what’s normal in the house vs the refinery, and I have a threshold between what’s ok and what’s not. This is a very interesting conversation.

@CDangerG @KYmama4liberty @DiaryofaSickGrl There's always a smell when you burn propane. The smell of the propane, the sulfur added to it since it doesn't have a smell naturally. I could only ever smell it outside right by the vent. I no longer live there. Currently I only regularly use propane outdoors.

@ProtopianElf @KYmama4liberty @DiaryofaSickGrl And super tasters are able to take a small taste of crude oil to determine how much sulfur was in it, hence sweet or sour crude. Sweet isn’t actually sweet, but it’s a far cry from sour (high sulfur) crude. Obvs this was before labs were instituted. I find it interesting.

@ProtopianElf @KYmama4liberty @DiaryofaSickGrl I’m glad you aren’t still living there, and agree 💯 that wood burning smells so much better. Would you believe that being a super sniffer used to be part of a profession? Literally, that’s how they determined how deodorants and cat litters performed…
