Contrary to my comment is my dad’s 2nd wife would have us arrive at 3 pm for 4pm dinner and feed us at 8pm. We learned quickly to bring “appetizers” that were essentially full meals so the kiddos wouldn’t go f’n nuts

@Sassafrass_84 My Mom always taught me to never be late and to always be early or I was grounded. She said to always treat it like you are trying to catch a train and if you are even a second late you missed it. I have lived with this mindset my whole life.

Inlaws: Ok
Me: See ya then. (Knowing they won't be here on time.)
Currently 6:45.
Kids:" I hate when they dont value our time. It's like this every holiday."(Last time they showed up 2 and a half hours late)
Me: "They work a farm. Sometimes, it's like that."
In my head: It's still rude. They can never be on time even when they don't have chickens. But holding my tongue.

The American people give the government around 7 TRILLION dollars every year and you fuckin retards haven’t fixed shit with it.
