Also deeply disappointed in this piece. I spent the weekend making sure that 10-person companies could make payroll despite their SVB deposits evaporating, ensuring EAs and technicians could get paid. This rescue wasn't about rich ppl! SVB-backed companies employed 1.4 M folks

@JMaraganore @cngarabedian @ldtimmerman I wish we could all lose the religious fervor about one or the other. Some face to face time is required, and that’ll be 3+ days a week in many cultures - while some companies can get away with 3 intense days per month - but we cannot eliminate F2F without costs

@CamiSamuelsVC I mean, given the features of XBB, lack of ventilation in venues, and masklessness of attendees, it strikes me as pretty much guaranteed to have been a superspreader event. 2 of those factors were addressable and we knew XBB was coming in early December.

What if the JPM healthcare conference turns out to be a super spreader event? I have heard of 3 people who attended stuff and tested positive on Wed or Th last week
