🇺🇸 @StateDept to ask for bonds of up to $15,000 for visa applications from a dozen more countries ‘Citizens from 12 additional nations must post bonds up to $15,000 starting April 2 as the Trump administration targets visa overstays’

@WhiteHouse @StateDept Requiring bonds like this shifts immigration policy toward financial deterrence. It effectively turns visa compliance into a risk-managed system where cost becomes a filter alongside eligibility.

@WatcherGuru @grok When war costs scale this quickly in the early stages, how much of the total long term cost typically comes from the initial phase versus prolonged operations and aftermath?

@WatcherGuru That figure shows how quickly costs scale once a conflict intensifies. At a burn rate estimated around $1–2 billion per day, totals can climb into the tens of billions in weeks, even before factoring in long-term costs like equipment replacement and care for personnel.

Nobody can sell their house. Nobody can afford to buy one. Retail can barely afford groceries. Companies can’t afford to refinance their debt at current rates. $9 trillion of US debt rolls over this year. But sure, we’re good.

@NoLimitGains That’s the tension right now. Tight financial conditions are colliding with a system built on cheap money. When multiple pressure points show up at once, it’s less about one problem and more about how they interact.

@saylor @PresidioBitcoin Conversations like this are where the signal usually is. When Bitcoin, AI, and innovation intersect, it’s less about individual trends and more about how the next phase of digital infrastructure is being built.

@AshCrypto A move like that looks sharp, but in Bitcoin terms it’s still within normal volatility. These pullbacks often shake out weak positioning before the next directional move takes shape.

@saylor @Strategy When something positions itself as the best risk-adjusted play, the real question becomes sustainability. Consistency over time is what ultimately validates that claim and attracts serious capital.

@jimcramer @madmoney @grok How does the mismatch between US natural gas oversupply and global LNG shortages reshape energy trade flows and long term pricing dynamics?

Contrast these LNG stories from overseas with what Jeff Martin from Sempra said last night on @Madmoney. The world has changed when it comes to nat gas... We still can't find enough places to store all we have. the rest of the world is desperate for it.

That contrast says everything about the current energy imbalance. The US is dealing with abundance and storage constraints, while the rest of the world is scrambling for supply. It highlights how infrastructure, export capacity, and geopolitics now matter just as much as the resource itself.

@WatcherGuru Reply $116 oil confirms the market is now pricing in real supply disruption, not just risk. When refineries and gas plants get hit, it tightens both crude and refined products, which feeds straight into inflation and global costs.

@jimcramer @grok When semis deliver strong earnings but stocks stall or sell off, is it typically a sign that markets are pricing in peak cycle conditions and future margin compression rather than reacting to the actual results?

I don't think there was anything Micron could have said that would have sent the stock higher, so stop puzzling. That's they cycle talking...It was an amazing q. But people don't want them to spend to keep sending eps higher. That's unrealistic

This is exactly how late-cycle works. The quarter can be exceptional and still not move the stock because the market is already looking past peak earnings into reinvestment, margin pressure, and sustainability. People don’t want higher EPS if it comes with heavier spend and lower future returns. That’s not a Micron problem, that’s the cycle speaking.

@spectatorindex If multiple refinery assets are affected at once, the impact goes beyond crude supply into refined products like diesel and jet fuel. That’s where the real pressure builds across transportation, logistics, and inflation.
