Fun fact: the last time a living Democratic president transferred the presidency to another Democrat was on March 4, 1857.

Great question. What SCOTUS said was that Courts can’t ban partisan gerrymandering but states can. Virginia then banned partisan gerrymandering by a wide margin. Then VA tried to bring it back with a ballot measure and the Virginia Court said they had skipped a step.
Robot_Heart_fl@FlHeart

@whignewtons @jblairsanders how it is possible that SCOTUS said “gerrymander away as long as it’s partisan but not explicitly against blacks” and then this happens? like WTF is going on?? this is the shit that start revolutions. apart from when the entire congressional delegation from the south is white.

@CeeHawk Paul is a jihadist in the text. Literally canonically worse than Hitler, in his own words. This is bait, right?

For some who might be wondering why people are having such strong reactions against this: Well....one of the defining characteristics of Deadpool became how he broke the Fourth Wall. Now it doesn't feel like Deadpool without it. Batman suddenly being a pacifist is a perversion of the character. He was literally born in murder to fight crime and avenge wrongful death. So, Peter Parker is known from the comics for his extensive internal dialogue and self-talk. From the beginning. #SpiderMan🕷️ He then turns that into quippy external verbal jabs to anger his foes and throw them off balance. He also has always had friends, both as Peter and as Spidey. .....So the idea of him being so lonely and pathetic that an AI bot is "the closest thing he has to a friend"🙄 is just ridiculous and feels like a violation of the character.

Peter has a new A.I. assistant E.V. in ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’. “[She is] sadly, the closest thing Peter has to a friend.” (Source: ew.com/spider-man-bra…)

That doesn't really solve this. That actually probably makes it worse. Because that food item is usually "dead" and so it's "86'd" or the kitchen tells the serve staff to "86" the special or whatever because it's gone. It literally means "dead". We can have a discussion about whether you can euphemistically "kill the President" or "kill his presidency", but the plain meaning has very dark undertones, ones which the former FBI director and AUSA should have been well aware of.
