I do not think people outside politics fully understand how insane what Virginia Democrats did actually was. They redrew the map so that five congressional districts effectively originate in Fairfax, which is packed with left wing government workers, and then stretch outward across the state like tentacles.

Great question. What SCOTUS said was that Courts can’t ban partisan gerrymandering but states can. Virginia then banned partisan gerrymandering by a wide margin. Then VA tried to bring it back with a ballot measure and the Virginia Court said they had skipped a step.

I think most people have erased internal monologues distinct from public facing social approval. Basically they’ve erased the part of their brain that thinks distinctly from how the larger anonymous group perceives them. It’s a tragedy since that’s where all valuable human life or thinking occurs

That doesn't really solve this. That actually probably makes it worse. Because that food item is usually "dead" and so it's "86'd" or the kitchen tells the serve staff to "86" the special or whatever because it's gone. It literally means "dead".
We can have a discussion about whether you can euphemistically "kill the President" or "kill his presidency", but the plain meaning has very dark undertones, ones which the former FBI director and AUSA should have been well aware of.
