They aren’t free, public communities like Israel’s. Third, Iran’s regime has a long track record of persecuting Christians and mistreating minorities. Ask Iraqi Christians who endured the Iran-Iraq War about conditions in Iranian captivity, or look at today’s reality: Iran ranks among the world’s worst for Christian persecution, with converts facing systematic crackdowns. It doesn’t change the fact that there are more Christians and Christian churches in Iran than in Israel AND (this year) Israel disallowed the Christians in Israel to worship the day. Also Israel has bombed many Christian churches throughout Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria and killed many Christians throughout those areas.
