OpenAI GPT-5 is now in public preview for GitHub Copilot. GPT-5 will be rolling out to all paid Copilot plans, starting today. You will be able to access the model in GitHub Copilot Chat on @github, Visual Studio @code (Agent, Ask, and Edit modes), and GitHub Mobile through the chat model picker.

Meet gpt-oss-120b and gpt-oss-20b, two powerful new reasoning models (reportedly 117B & 21B parameters). 2. @AnthropicAI's Claude Opus 4.1 is live! It brings enhanced performance for coding, complex reasoning, and agentic tasks. 3. @GoogleDeepMind's Genie 3 is a game-changer. More than a video generator, it creates interactive, playable 720p/24FPS worlds from a text prompt. You can explore them and even introduce real-time changes (like "make it rain"). A huge step for agent training & AGI research. 4. @elevenlabs introduces Eleven Music, aiming to be the new benchmark for AI music. It offers full creative control over genre and style, supports multiple languages (incl. Spanish, German, Japanese), and lets you edit the sound and lyrics of individual sections. 5.
