TMOs have access to the footage.
TMOs can look at footage.
TMOs has a direct radio link with the Referee.
The TMO can't control what the TV Director is showing on live TV.
But the TMO has access to the footage!!
Many misunderstandings on here.
World Rugby needs to be more transparent about the TMO process, more education is needed as well.

The is exactly it. The TV director is not a match official. The TMO has the power to stop the game if they want to check something. The TMO chose not to.

Ah, if only there was another match official who's job it is to intervene at any time and ask for more replays or angles of a certain action... Maybe one stationed away from the noise of the stadium so that emotional aspect is removed and they can be impartial....

But… Ben Shitehouse, what are you doing,
we all saw the clear head on head by Lucu on one replay. Which means he definitely saw it as well.
He has the tools to watch that over and over even if he can’t get other angles.

Has Whitehouse the TMO got the authority to stop the game until the french broadcasters give the right replays... Seems like a massive advantage for Bordeaux #BORvBAT

I’m no @BathRugby by any stretch (Tigers if you must know) but watching the TV of their game the French TV replays its pretty disgusting. @ChampionsCup need to have a look. 2 potential yellows. Happens all the time. Absolute mockery of the tournament. @AndyGoode10 spot on.
