Last week I had the good fortune to catch up with one of the brilliant crews based at Lippits Hill, the home of @NPASLondon 🚁 NPAS crews have a special working dynamic. Pure teamwork to assist their colleagues on the ground. Quick, clear, necessary communication combined with a laugh and a joke; all whilst spinning at a rate of knots, controlling a camera, listening to four radio channels, and keeping an eye on the ground below. My ideal office, I won’t lie. We assisted with a number of pursuits and helped to find a vulnerable person as well as pausing over crime hot spots to pick out potential persons and vehicles of interest. On our final return to base, I took my favourite ever photo of the city we Police. Thank you all again for having me and a truly brilliant afternoon’s flying. #ThinBlueLine 🚨

Often, the messages I receive are truly quite humbling. Some of our colleagues really did have a highly traumatic time over the weekend and it is so lovely to receive and be able to share message of thanks and support for the work that they did. Thank you all. #ThinBlueLine 🚨

“Congratulations to our plastic and reconstructive surgery lead, Gurjinderpal Singh Pahal, who has been commended by the Metropolitan Police for helping save a police officer’s hand after the Hainault sword attack. Yasmin was one of several people injured in April 2024. She was airlifted to The Royal London Hospital and in surgery within 30 minutes. Guj was recognised 'for distinguished devotion, care and compassion in delivering medical assistance to an injured police constable'. 💙” Not all heroes wear capes. 🫡 #ThinBlueLine 🚨
