@ItsZedK "I think that’s likely the case. My Shorts consistently get at least 1,000 views, so I assume strong retention helps push them further. I’m just not sure yet if those views and subscribers will translate into long-term, engaged viewers—but I guess time will tell.

@EricMoranFilms For me, they seem to to pop off completely randomly, even more than the normal video algorithm. I had a lot of shorts with 0-50 likes pop up and I'm guessing it's those first viewers who decide on whether to like the short or not that makes the system decide if it should push it.

YouTube friends: Do you post YouTube shorts? Have you seen any noticeable success with them in terms of gaining meaningful subscribers? Been testing out a few and have been getting good views but not sure if they will translate to anything meaningful.

@JayHooft That’s a shame because episodes 7-9, are considered by a lot as some of the best Star Wars ever. It felt a little slow toward beginning but believe me the payoff is worth it!
