This is a wonderful example of why MLB Replay has ruined baseball. This is one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. And instead of players and fans being pissed for decades, it was reversed immediately.

@mister_gallego @rock_on85 @JeffPassan -20.34 correct calls above expectation score last year, 3rd worst among all umpires with only Laz Diaz and Andy Fletcher (both atrocious umpires in their own right). Someone has to wear the crown with Angel gone and it’s definitely CB.

Unpopular opinion: I understand some ball/strike calls are egregious & the ability to challenge makes sense…but baseball isn’t meant to be so precise that you rely on a box. Grey area around the plate is part of the gm. Otherwise it’s just not baseball. Idk. I’ve mixed feelings.
