The only real justification for the Pro at the new price is if you don't intend on buying a PS6 for at least the next 10 years purely so that future games that release well into the next console generation still look good and perform somewhat well. Even then it's a shaky argument

Not to mention that it doesn't actually change the fact that it's disrespectful to the people affected. I hope that they don't end up affected by a layoff in the future
