Obviously all this work is carried out by brilliant leaders (shout out @MathsMrD and @Meldrum_Will, and those at @GreenshawTrust as I imagine some of this is trust-wide). I have no doubt our students know how lucky they are, as a middle leader and a teacher of 2 classes, I 💯 do!

but half the time no-one knows where they should be. At my school now, this is all compiled in a giant spreadsheet, so leaders can see which students are free and offer to teach them additionally. Students are printed a weekly 'exit timetable' on bright paper, given on a 13/-

@Sra_Lancake We had this situation last summer term. Ended up making a rota so the Spanish classes got an MFL teacher at least once a week - spread the cover between our other languages.

@HoDandHeart I love Laprofdefrancais' resources (French only), and NCELP have free sows & lesson resources, although I found they didn't suit my teaching style. Good to know they're there, though.

@Louiestowell Y7 French-set hw to make a wordsearch. I went full calligraphy, gold embossed flourishes,coloured each square individually,most beautiful thing I've ever made. Teacher didn't even see it-next lesson had to swap my work of art with the boy sitting next to me & his scrappy work 😭
