A frustrated Senator Bridget McKenzie, the shadow minister for Transport rails against the utter ineptitude of the Albanese Government.
Truckies are going broke with this fuel crisis and wanted it declared a national disaster weeks ago.
So many simple fixes that could have been done with the stroke of a pen-
• remove road user charges
• allow higher productivity freight Vehicles to move food
• relax port regulations to shift freight easier
• GST relief
But no - Albanese is still twiddling his thumbs.
Planning a Premiers’ meeting to come up with a plan.
The worst PM ever.

@AlboMP @JEChalmers Chris Bowen, just got back into Griffith after attending the Riverina Field Days, which by the way was attended by @PaulineHansonOz which was great to see her out supporting us, no other party representatives were in attendance to see what was happening in the real world…
Go to the local BP to fuel up & they are out of Diesel.
You guys are seriously going out of your way to destroy small businesses. My business is agricultural based. We have service vehicles that run on diesel. We need to be able to travel up to 200km to our farmers to service them on farm. We are about to go into rice harvest, sowing & cotton harvest. How the hell am I supposed to run a business if we can’t service our customers.
Throw in the extremely high price of fert, high chem prices, low water allocations & high price of temp water, increasing interest rates, low commodity prices & until yesterday the absence of significant rainfall we are struggling to survive. Our customers confidence is underwhelming & it is affecting their decision making when it comes to updating equipment, which we need to be selling to survive.
2024 most of area was hit hard with frost, 2025 the majority of our area had less than 1/2 our yearly rainfall so we are in a real predicament, farmers & businesses cash flow are at real lows.
You guys still expect me to pay my PAYG & BAS on time no matter the stresses that our businesses are going through.
We need leadership.
We need action.
We need people to invest back in our country, we have the raw materials & people to do it, we can produce almost everything we need to be self sustainable.
We need people who understand what’s going on in the real world of the people who produce the food & fibre we ALL need.
What are you going to do about it??…..

Antarctica had far less sea ice just 1,000 years ago.
Sedimentary DNA from Cape Hallett shows southern elephant seals breeding there between 2,500 and 1,000 years ago, which is only possible when the coast is ice-free.
Today that site is locked in sea ice year-round, extending 2,000 km farther north than the seals' historic range.
Penguin DNA tells the same story. As ice expanded, seals vanished and penguins moved in.
This isn't ancient history, it's the Roman and medieval periods - well within human timescales.
So when activists claim today's sea ice retreat is unprecedented, they're dead wrong. There was far less Antarctic sea ice just 1,000 years ago, naturally, centuries before modern CO2 emissions.

We're told climate disasters are getting worse, but the data says the exact opposite.
According to the world's leading disaster database, climate-related disasters show no trend since 2000.
And climate-related deaths have collapsed by over 98% since 1920, with deaths dropping from nearly 500,000 per year to under 10,000 today.
Floods, droughts, storms and wildfires are not increasing. And on top of that, humanity is just far more resilient than it used to be.
There is no crisis. Just progress.

I briefly questioned the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) regarding the massive $1.5 billion class action suit brought by Doyle’s Farm Produce and others.
I got the usual run-around — bureaucratic talk about "normal insurance processes" and passing the buck to the government's insurer.
More alarmingly, I questioned Minister Watt about the $3 million being funnelled toward a scheme where intermediaries (likely union super funds) would buy up farms and water. I asked how corporate-owned "government farms" can magically create environmental water, reminding him that state run farming is a page straight out of the Mao and Stalin playbook.
When I asked how we are going to feed our growing population once the family farm is destroyed and the bush is emptied, the Minister fell back on "environmental management" platitudes.
This government is trading real food security for a radical agenda, and the farmers know it.
