@Jason87r @valvesoftware You won't get a PC that has the same performance and the same size as this. It's a prebuilt so ofc it's more expensive than building your own for the same price but you will never achieve the same size and features.

@Nag__Hammadi @MetroUK Yes if they have the list of common IP addresses, but if it's a homebrew VPN the amount of work it would take to track that server i.e wireguard and Linux would take more man power than they have got, and with the app stores, side loading the APK would still be possible

@HannasWorldUK17 It won't happen for many reasons, they would have to shut most nodes extremely hard to do, certain VPN providers are in countries where the UK has no power, and 3rd u can create ur own VPN and for them to find the IP of every home made server/ VPN would not be possible

Labour says a further statement on VPN’s will be made in July, with restrictions now being discussed following the social media ban. This should concern everyone, not just parents or teenagers. Millions of ordinary people use VPNs to protect their privacy, secure their personal data, and browse the internet without being tracked. The idea that the government is now looking at restricting access to them is a step in the wrong direction. History teaches us that free societies encourage people to think, question, and challenge those in power. Governments should never be afraid of an informed public. As the saying goes: “When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” Privacy is not a crime. Questioning those in power is not extremism. Freedom, once surrendered, is rarely won back without a fight. 🇬🇧

@BigRedGreybeard @thecoastguy Rebuilding prob abit extreme but would be difficult for them to monitor someone that has their own server and VPN, i.e wireguard openvpn, can't see how they could ban them yeah block app store vpns they could do but then u would just side load them on via APK

@thecoastguy In what way? Bearing in mind I'm an IT networking and security consultant - please explain to me how banning consumer VPNs would involve "dismantling and rebuilding the internet"? I really wish people would stay in their lane.

@Britains_rights Don't worry about VPNs they clearly have no idea how they work, they can't ban them as u can create your own server and VPN, plus how are they going to monitor ports and TCP 😂

@ChShersh Physically impossible to ban VPNs they would be having to dive into ports and so on which is not possible without banning the internet itself

@lorahmoe As a parent and someone with 19 years driving experience/ a PCV (bus licence), i 100% agree with u unfortunately i have seen far too many young ones crash kill their friends not due to them being bad drivers but not having the experience to react in time tht comes with experience

My daughter asked if she could ride with her friend’s older brother to a concert. The older brother was 17. I said no. Apparently this decision caused widespread outrage among the youth population. Because about thirty minutes later, the older brother called me himself. He explained that he was a very careful driver. I asked how long he’d had his license. Six months. Six. Months. Then he tells me, “I’m basically an adult.” You know who says that the most? People who are absolutely not adults. I told him my answer wasn’t changing. He sighed dramatically and said, “You’re making this harder than it needs to be.” Actually, you’re making it easier than it should be. Because now I know exactly why my daughter won’t be riding anywhere with you.

Hopefully there will be a platform for stupid people like you. You won’t need personal identification to access social media , just age verification . If you are too thick to know the difference Google it you plank. At least you have been helpful for one thing. People keep saying the under-16 social media ban will make life impossible for kids cos they won’t be able to talk to their mates. You’ve already shown that’s not true. I wouldn’t go near telegram, but WhatsApp still works fine.

So with all this digital ID coming into place in U.K. , as soon as they implement it on adults , I will come off all platforms and download telegram instead , I’m not going to comply with their demands of having to sign in with passports, credit card etc everytime I wanna go online . I will miss most of you when it happens
