Painted titles, airbrushed covers, archival bookbinding materials. No two copies are exactly the same. A book reborn as a Relic. If it happens to you/family: Hang up immediately, call your real bank, freeze accounts if needed. Don't call a number the scammers give you. Look on the back of your bank card and call THAT number. Report it: FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov, FBI's IC3 at ic3.gov, your local police (especially if cash was handed over), and your bank—they can flag patterns. Spread this: Tag friends/family, especially older relatives who get targeted more. Don't let these bottom-feeding parasites rob you blind.

To all the honest people out there: Real banks never call asking you to withdraw cash, buy gift cards, crypto, or transfer to a "safe" account to "protect" funds. This goes for the IRS as well. They never demand passwords, PINs, codes, or full account details over the phone. Urgency + fear + "act now or lose everything" = scam 100% of the time. Caller ID spoofing is easy—hang up and call your bank back using the number on your card/app/site. Bonus 2026 twist: AI voice cloning is making these calls sound eerily real (even mimicking family/bank reps), so add a family "safe word" for verification if someone calls claiming emergency. 🧵

Today at the bank, I watched the after-effects of a guy my age get cleaned out by phone scammers pretending to be the bank. I don't know how much he lost, but he was visibly shaking as he was talking to the people in the bank just trying to get his money back. Thinking he was 'protecting' his money, he fell for what's called the bank impersonation scam, "vishing". The man was practically in tears because you SCUM won't go earn a living without destroying someone else's livelihood. To the scammers: You're bottom-feeding parasites preying on fear. You ruin lives for quick cash. Karma's slow, but the feds are getting better at tracking you. Keep it up and enjoy prison. I hope you endlessly have to break big rocks into little rocks. 🧵

Yes, that one scene ripped a hole in me. If you are Gen X, you know the scene I'm referring to. But look, we who grew up with this movie UNDERSTOOD that this was the pinnacle of what a hero was. The sacrifice that Optimus Prime made on the screen, and that Hot Rod then took up to become something more, Rodimus Prime, is like the lifeblood of us Gen X even if some of us never saw this movie. If you want to understand Gen X, understand this movie.

After finally watching #Transformers The Movie. I understand why kids were upset after seeing it. It's the freaking Red Wedding for 10 yr olds. After the first 30 minutes you didn't want to see your favorite character on screen for fear they would die next. Good lord.

For all the countless trad books I've read over the decades, no, but in my defense Amazon really wasn't a thing back then. If I purchase an indie book, I will definitely get around to it. I am a notoriously slow reader, and anymore I don't prioritize it like I used to. So, if I did buy your book, just know I haven't forgotten. You're just going to have to give me a minute... or 500.
