Not liking the look of this storm in the Quad Cities. Storm is evidently large, has developed a sustained left-flank velocity enhancement, and is getting "nudged" by convection in its rear flank. Given aforementioned guidance, a significant, long-track tornado seems possible

Maiden voyage of my sounding analog system for a cherry-picked sounding from the Enhanced risk area Nothing too surprising here: most analogs are wind and (small) hail, and 1 out of 5 analogs are tornadoes, but conditional intensity is fairly high. It should be noted that...

@ameyanaik123 @CameronJNixon @tornadotrx Forgot which paper this was, but there's literature out there that basically says the recipe for southern Plains tornadic hodographs is speed-shear domination in the lowest 0.5/1km followed by directional shear domination above that to 3km AGL

Thinking a more isolated storm could fire along the warm front over N OK later. While any supercell in OK could pose a 2"+ hail and tor risk, LCLs are higher near the dry line, which could spur upscale growth. Watch out for deviant tornadoes please!! The humps are back
