@vueling broke my ankle 24 hrs before my flight. Taken to hospital by ambulance and into surgery. Obv unable to fly. Claim for flight credits rejected because apparently when laying in A&E receiving emergency treatment I should have rebooked my flight. Shocking customer service

A nice man from UCL Hospital called this week, to say a scan of me showed the cancer I had has all gone. The treatment worked, the cancer bottled it and ran off, the wimp.

I think I would advise against using chemotherapy as a recreational drug this Christmas. It hasn’t given me the bounce I was hoping for at all, I can’t see it taking off in the clubs.

Happy 90th Birthday Dr Krishnan Guru-Murthy! He's at work today as usual, in the NHS, where he must surely by now be the longest serving Consultant Radiologist on record. He became an NHS doctor when he arrived in the UK in 1962 and was made a consultant in the early 1970s. Here are a few photos of Dad - the most recent I have with my Mum recently and the oldest I have when they got married, and a few in between with my brother and sister. We don't have any from when he was a boy because he was orphaned young and the family lost everything as refugees in the war anyway. He's a remarkable man - and we're all very grateful for him still being around to dispense his wit and kindness to us, his grandchildren and everyone.

@EmmaGradconsult I found the theatre adaption a lot to manage. I was left with mixed feelings but glad to have experienced them both.

I watched #alittlelifeplay at the cinema this evening. It was just wow! The book blew me away, but the way this play is shot for the big screen is incredible, so intimate. A tough watch, and 4 hours long, but every second was just amazing. ❤️
