The settler violence being waged one-sidedly is a perfect example for why, if a 2SS is to be accepted, demilitarization is a non-starter. The PA is completely incapable of defending Palestinians from being killed in the hundreds and expelled by the thousands. They need an army

@ColeSandick Well, “Israel shouldn’t bomb children” sounds like Palestine should kill Israelis and hide behind their children. So why do you want Israelis killed?

Between Mills, Crockett and Cuomo, the Dems are vastly underestimating how much normal voters hate liberal identity politics. We’re tired of being called racist and sexist for boilerplate takes like “politicians should talk about the economy” and “Israel shouldn’t bomb children.

I completely agree with you. The genocide in gaza occured at the very start, implementing where's daddy, targetting civilian homes and launching missiles when the ai detected a "hamas related" person in the premises, They had the capability to target said hamas related person away from the premesis, however they wanted mutli generational apartment buildings full of people to perish with that 1 person. then you have the ambulence massacre, the targetting of civilian infrastructure like the canada well. they also spoke generally(dehumanizingly) about palestinians and amalek which is a genocidal story as it involves women, children, babies, and live stock.

But Nick you don’t “interview those who use the word genocide”. I’m one of the most prominent British genocide scholars and I called Israel’s genocide in October 2023. I’ve had a lot of international media attention but my BBC total in 30 months is one interview on Radio Ulster.
Nick Robinson@bbcnickrobinson

Simple answer Zack. Our job is to report. We interview you & those you quote who use the word genocide. We do the same for those who disagree. We also report that no international court has yet made a judgment. Nor has the UN. That’s not me or the BBC taking sides or downplaying what’s happened in Gaza. It’s doing our job.

The amount of ignorance and prejudice that has re-emerged over the last 20 years is astounding It is as though a pendulum has swung from ignorant to understanding and back to ignorance all in my lifetime In grade school I recall people who thought Jews had horns and a tail, then it had largely vanished (we understood and gave each other grace), and yet here we are back again The ignorances of the past that been overcome, have been brought back, even celebrated Make it make sense.

Hi Prof Bernstein, great to see you commenting on my posts again. I don't have time to go through Twitter and find replies to similar questions I've been asked many times, but you are welcome to do so. The answer is yes, and in fact I volunteered to provide medical services to Israeli hostages with the ICRC if Hamas allowed the ICRC access to them. Since Israel kept the ICRC out of its prisons, Hamas did the same, and so that never came to fruition. Just out of curiosity, did you ever volunteer to inspect Israeli prisons, for example after finding out that they are torture and rape camps as has been widely reported in the Israeli press? I have worked in a humanitarian capacity in Zimbabwe, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Ukraine, and Burkina Faso. You are obviously implying that I worked in Gaza because I hate Jews or hate Israel, so please explain my work in those other places as a function of anything other than my commitment to humanitarian principles. I look forward to reading your answer.

I'm an American trauma surgeon. One year ago today I was volunteering at Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza when Israel fired a missile into the room of my 16-year-old patient, Ibrahim Barhoum. The missile killed him instantly. If it had hit the room 90 seconds later it would have killed me, too. Today the US and Israel are still blocking medical supplies from entering Gaza, and are repeating the assault on hospitals and healthcare workers across Lebanon. This is nothing but barbarism. It must be stopped.

@ASFleischman @FerozeSidhwa @Steven_Strauss @grok You started with a specific implied claim (Hamas was using that hospital at that time) but didn’t provide evidence. When pressed you broadened it, then shifted to a different question (“did you personally see fighters?”). Those aren’t equivalent. That is “squirrely”

Sir I've learned that arguing with people who make evidence-free assertions like this online is a waste of time. If you don't know that you're lying then you're illiterate, and if you do then you're just an incorrigible liar trying to defend the murder of a wounded 16-year-old child. If you'd like to discuss the evidence for your baseless assertions in public and on camera I'd be happy to, otherwise I'm not interested.

@LACEdaFlyFellow @JeninYounesEsq @HBendaas During a revolution, when law enforcement was not established yet, and the students did it to prevent the criminals from another overthrow operation (like they had done in 1953), and it was the will of the people, then, yes.

We now have Ritchie Torres, Dan Goldman, Chris Cuomo, and Batya condemning settler violence within a 48 hour period, even though this has been going on nonstop for years/decades. Very curious
Rep. Ritchie Torres@RepRitchie

The crisis of extremist settler violence in the West Bank must be confronted, and the perpetrators must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There should be zero tolerance for violent extremism, no matter what form it takes and no matter what direction from which it comes.

@LACEdaFlyFellow @JeninYounesEsq @HBendaas I literally address this in an article I posted in my highlights last night. I hope you will take the time to read it. I spent a lot of time on it. It actually explains my thoughts on this. If you want. Thank you.
