@TechnomageDoge @thechosenberg no savings account. Dollar cost averaging into index funds or ETF when you are young. CD when retired. Annuity if you do not need it and want to roll over income without tax burden in taxable account. This is not advice.
English

@LabRetort @thechosenberg They still believe Savings Accounts are viable financial tools.

@johnsmi92154793 @thechosenberg Have never listened to Dave Ramsey. Advice my parents gave me. It is easier to live below your means if you were born poor and achieve as an adult and keep same practices.

She's safely surrounded by federal agents who just want to do some Deep State theater on the Mall.

That’s cute. Does your local pub have a flag on the moon and a stealth bomber?

So America turns 250. That's cute. My local pub is 364 years old.

July 4th wrapped up one of the most severe heat waves the United States has experienced in years.
As the nation celebrated its 250th birthday dangerous heat continued to affect areas from New England to the Southeast with temperatures in the 90s and low 100s.
Philadelphia is forecast to hit around 100 degrees Fahrenheit while Washington DC may see another day above 100 degrees possibly setting a record for the hottest Fourth of July. New York City is expected to reach the upper 90s with high humidity making it feel even hotter.
The heat has already set records. Central Park reached 100 degrees for the first time since 2012. Washington DC recorded 102 degrees on both Thursday and Friday breaking daily records that lasted over 120 years. Philadelphia hit 103 degrees tying a mark from 1901.
The effects are widespread. Washington DC canceled its July 4th parade due to the extreme conditions. The Great American State Fair on the National Mall delayed its opening. In the New York area thousands lost power as the grid struggled under the demand.
Health authorities have issued strong warnings. The Centers for Disease Control reported very high levels of heat related illnesses in the Northeast. In Pennsylvania a 68 year old man died while working outdoors in temperatures over 100 degrees.
Researchers attribute much of the intensity to climate change. A quick analysis by World Weather Attribution concluded that such heat and humidity would have been virtually impossible without the warming caused by fossil fuel emissions.
Thunderstorms are also possible. The combination of heat and moisture may trigger severe weather during celebrations in the Mid Atlantic and Northeast including lightning strong winds and potential disruptions to fireworks.
Temperatures are expected to moderate on Sunday across much of the East Coast.
This holiday has demonstrated how extreme heat can transform a national celebration into a serious public health concern.
